School Development Plan

At Berkswell CE Primary School, we are committed to continuous improvement and to providing the very best education for every child.

Our School Development Priorities are carefully identified each year through rigorous self-evaluation and reflect the areas that will have the greatest impact on pupils’ learning, wellbeing and personal development.

Curriculum and Teaching

Achievement

Key Priority 2:

To strengthen oracy across the curriculum by building high‑quality speaking and listening into all subjects, helping pupils develop the confidence and language skills to express their ideas clearly and improve their overall outcomes.

Personal Development and Well-Being

Key Priority 3:

To establish a life skills program to further prepare children for real life experiences.

 

Attendance and Behaviour

Key Priority 4:

Further improve attendance for targeted groups reducing the percentage of children at risk of being persistently absent.

 

Leadership and Management

Key Priority 4:

Further develop the role of the Inclusion team to agree the actions linked to the school’s inclusion strategy document and to evaluate impact.

Key Priority 4:

To further develop high-quality adult-child interactions to maximise children's thinking, language and learning.

Diocese of Coventry

The Diocesan mission strategy is "Worshipping God, Making new disciples and Transforming communities". With this in mind, 'Together For Change' was formed - a charitable joint venture between the Diocese of Coventry and the Church Urban Fund to resource and equip churches to transform their communities and tackle issues of systemic poverty.
